Noise can be a big issue for construction sites, with noise restrictions in place it can pose a challenge for meeting project deadlines. Construction managers have to work hard to organise and manage the noise levels of the construction site, following local rules and regulations. Some areas have a no noise rule in place between certain hours and at weekends, restricting the time available for the loud machinery to be used.
By making changes to your construction sites practise, you may still get complaints from residents living nearby the site. These complaints must be taken seriously and construction work will have to be reconsidered to try and minimise the noise further, such as changing the equipment being used and reducing working hours for loud tasks.
It is always helpful to inform local residents of days where the noise levels will be at the highest, by communicating the sites noise levels may help to reduce the amount of complaints received.
