I recently had a bit of an issue when working on my new build, and it was a couple living in a block of flats next door. The main cause of the issue was that they would park directly outside my house, and as it’s new, there is no dropped curb, so what they’re doing is fine and dandy in the eyes of the law. That, however, was an issue for me, because there were times when workers would have to park down the road and walk up and down to fetch and return their equipment. It also meant that deliveries of concrete would be delayed because we’d have to wake them up to move their vehicle which they didn’t appreciate. It still didn’t stop them parking there thuough and finally I’d had enough. I had a chat with my neighbor and we formulated a parking plan so that all of our cars were parked next to my house leaving big gaps between each car (but not enough room for them to squeeze in). This meant they could never park in front of our house unless we moved our car, and we’d always make sure our cars were there when important deliveries and workers needed to arrive.
