It took a lot of consideration but we finally decided on creating a kitchen extension. My wife wanted the extra space, and I did take to the idea of creating a large kitchen-diner, like the type you see in American movies! Besides, our dining room was hardly ever used, well only on the rare occasion when friends of family came over, but I’m sure they’ll appreciate our new kitchen too very soon. Planning permission has already gone through nice and easy, we thought id would, after all the surrounding houses have all been extended and we’re now following suit. One problem we have found, and it’s still early days, is that we need to move a lot of furniture around, and it means a lot more electrical work than we wanted, which is looking pretty pricey.
